Our Parish Outreach Center serves the necessities of those in need that reside within the boundaries of the parish. The geographic boundaries of our parish include parts of Islip, Smithtown, and Brookhaven.
Clients will be asked to complete a registration form and to provide proof of residence and income.
We have our food pantry on-site and look forward to serving you as best as we can. Please call, or email for more information or to set up an appointment.
We are located at 25 Church Street, which is on the parish grounds, and where clients can come in a safe and confidential way. The office is at the far end of the Parish Center building (the former lower school building). Any deliveries can also be made here. For mail purposes, we ask that all packages and letters be sent to the parish rectory offices at 45 Church Street.
Donations of non-perishable food items are accepted in the office during business hours. We have a St. Vincent de Paul Society clothes bin on site that will accept clothing donations, but we are unable to accept furniture donations.
Our Food Pantry is currently in need ofgeneral toiletries, coffee, and shelf milk.
Monetary donations by cash, check or money order are prayerfully accepted (payable to St. Joseph Parish Outreach and sent to the parish rectory offices at 45 Church Street).
Volunteers: Anyone interested in volunteering, please email or call us. VIRTUS training and background checks will be required under Diocesan guidelines.
